This collection of tracks is a reflection on what bass is in my hands, what I can do to explore the instrument's voice, and what the instrument can do to help me find my own voice. The tracks come from different moments in my life. Some date years back, some are quite recent. I feel they represent a picture - somewhat blurred, quite abstract - of what I try to express with a bass in my hands. The title is an obvious nod to one of the greatest bass poets and a reflection of how most of the album's notes are improvised.
